This may be a slight diversion, but it's worth noting that you are not strictly correct in respect of relating this only to making 'your journey' On the DLR and London Underground you may be charged a penalty fare for failing to hold a valid ticket. That is because when checked you are within a controlled ticket area It is not true to say that you have to make a journey. Technically, you are required to hold a ticket to enter the platform or cross the red line. With PAYG you must touch-in and touch-out each time that you enter and leave the system. I do actually think you are attempting to make a mountain out of a molehill here. It seems that the lack of reaction to earlier news stories has made clear that this isn't something the majority of travellers have a great issue with As others have said, the system allows time for change of mind or cancelled trains and also provides the process to give you a full refund on the relatively rare occasions that this happens. If you are too idle to claim your refund, then don't blame TfL for keeping it.0 -

Yes, it must be a terrible hardship having a bus that is a flat fare of £1.20 instead of the previous £1.0 -

There is no point arguing with someone who thinks a £1.20 flat fare for a bus is daylight robbery.
Actually, looking back at the thread you don't care what anybody else has to say (usually because you are wrong), so, in your very own words, "lets agree to disagree".0 -
