Sony S700i info please
Options
Since we saved money buying this years Xmas pressies from Argos, other half thinks he can now put a Sony S700i on his present wish list.
I'm happy for it to be on his list.............but that's where it will stay if I can't find it at a reasonable price. :-/
Don't really want to go down the contract route, prefer to stay as pay as you go.
Phone seems really expensive at around £400 mark. Anyone any suggestions where to source it cheaper? Is the price likely to come down much between now and Xmas?
Also, is there some kind of service with contract phones where you can put a limit on the cost of calls made so that you don't end up with a large phone bill? Or am I just hoping?
Thanks for any info or advice. ;D

I've not seen any deals on the S700i yet, in fact, I haven't actually seen it anywhere yet other than coming soon on the sony site.
Okay, ignore this bit, I can see it on the Link - 02 for £99 with a contract, or CPW "fom" £39.99 (some ridiculous monthly tariff) on 02, also on Vodafone.
Not searched elsewhere - but certainly looks like one of those phones that is worth getting on contract right now.
As for call limits, I know you can limit your spend on Vodafone for sure, so you *ought* to be able to with other networks.
As for prices coming down, as the 3G phones hit the market, I think all others will probably start to drop, but this is quite a new phone to the market, and I can't see it happening just yet on sim free or PAYG
- you might find, as the networks vie for the pre-xmas business, that there are some good deals for it on contract coming up though.0
