Hi,

Would anyone know the settings for GPRS for PAYG on Vodafone I think it is £1.00 per use? I have tried a load of settings from the web but they don't seem to work. My phone is a Nokia E51.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I think my PAYG sim card is probably around 6-7 years old would that make a difference as I have tried those settings you provided although I can't
    seem to get it working?

    Thanks
  • Hi Robben,

Sorry to hear that you're having problems getting onto the internet on your E51.

I have put the PAYT setting below so you can enter them manually into your phone. I have also included the MMS settings case you wont you send or receive some pictures on your phone.

The internet costs just £1 for the first 15MB that you use in a 24 hour period, you'll be charge £2 per MB there after.

If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask

Many thanks for your settings I have tried them although they do not work as I get "Packet data : Packet data not available. Check network services." message.

Does that mean I need to call customer services and get GPRS activated?

    Thanks

Called customer services who activated GPRS they said it would take around 15mins, although after a few hours it is still not working. Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

    Hi robben,

Working for Vodafone myself we've got a team who can check this out for you (I've enclosed details below on how you could get in touch). The settings listed above are the first generic check that we can do, afterwards it can involve checking the status of your number and SIM card on the network, something that would have to be done securely via customer services.

To get in touch with our team, if you go to How to contact Vodafone Customer Services, select email then write a synopsis of the problem, including the short code FIT135 in the body of your email (you could even include a link to this thread if you wish) a member of staff will be able to investigate this for you and get the problem resolved.

    :)
