"Thank you for your email.
I have detailed some information on the acceptance of coupons in our stores which I hope will help you.
All Tesco specific coupons display the Tesco logo. We'll only accept these at the till if you buy the product shown on the coupon at the time.
We're happy to accept a non-Tesco product coupon even if you don't buy the item. But, the coupon must be in-date and the store must sell the product. If you present more than one identical coupon you need to purchase the same number of products. This also includes coupons printed from the internet, but these will only be accepted at the discretion of the Store Manager.
I hope this has helped to explain things for you.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us
Kind Regards
Tesco Customer Service"
So, I think I will take a copy of this email with me on my next shop. Unfortunately most of my coupons are internet ones, however not all of them are... and it appears that non-internet ones are not store Management-dependant.

I got a similar letter, after i wrote to ask about their policy. But I wont be showing the cashier and demanding they take the coupons. I like to keep a low profile.
Remember - couponing is a bonus, not a right!!_____________________________________________

I actually agree with you, I prefer to keep a low profile too... particularly, as most of my coupons are internet ones..
However there could be a time when an email like that could come in handy, like when you get told that staff have lost their jobs for taking coupons..2011: £10 Sports Direct Voucher, Peppa Pig Wii Game, Trivial Pursuit Card Game, £100 Chat magazine win, Dance workout dvd, Grease wii game,0 -

I wrote into the store, got a letter back, luckly mine doesnt mention internet coupons, but I take the letter with me, come in very useful last wk, had one of the supervisiors compliaining about my vouchers, and the amount I use, he said on its only 6 per customer, so letter came out, then got the manager down, bear in mind I use the self scan facility as it saves the cashier putting them through, and the supervisor had to apologise. The thing is we were using £10.00 worth of vouchers on a £90 spend. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Please can you forward me the address you sent your original email to so i can get one myself?

That's encouraging.. I read somewhere yesterday (might have been on a different forum) that someone was told in Tesco that they were not allowed to hand over internet coupons any more.. new policy.
I'll let you know how I get on today, going to do a £30 shop after work this afternoon and hoping to pay around £15 for it2011: £10 Sports Direct Voucher, Peppa Pig Wii Game, Trivial Pursuit Card Game, £100 Chat magazine win, Dance workout dvd, Grease wii game,0 -

That is exactly what makes them stop taking coupons! Its one thing to use £10 worth on a £90 spend but you are expecting to only pay £15 on a £30 spend!
This is why they make new policies which we all suffer for-because a few people get greedy!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -

That is totally unreasonable and also wrong.
Tesco have said numerous times that you can pay for your entire shopping with coupons if you have enough different ones and they are all valid and in date.
I reguarly pay only 10% of my shopping bill in cash by using lots of different coupons and I am totally within my rights to do so as told by Tesco themselves.Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110
