hi
im currently on onetel £9.99 dial up which i can use after 6pm and weekends included in the price
im going to uni in sept and think i will be better with broadband simply so i dont tie up the phone line and so its a bit faster than watching paint dry on a cold day!
not wanting anything very fancy wont be down loading 'tunes' or anything!unless i learn how to...!
just wandering what are the best deals around and what questions should i ask or things to look out for??

Madasafish takes some beating at the moment (2Mb speed with a 5Gb download cap) for £17.99 per month, but as a new customer you get 2 months free this works out the equivalent of £14.99 per month. This is a 1-year contract.
The only advice I can offer you is to make sure you read the terms & conditions of the provider you choose as with some of them you are tied in for 2 years…if you leave earlier you have a fee to pay so check them out.

Hi emma - you'll obviously have to wait until you get to uni before you sign up. The best deals available are usually those where you pay up front for a yearly contract. For instance, https://www.e7even.com are currently offering free modem and 1Mb for £10 per month. (£50 activation fee). They regularly have offers so it is one to look out for. But read through the "Cheapest Broadband Provider " Threademma_b wrote:hi

for more recommendations. It does seem that Tiscali are one to avoid because of their very poor Cust.Service. Another low cost one that does not get poor write-ups is https://www.ADSL4less.com."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0
