virgin sim offer 300 text and 300 mins for £15
Options
Did anyone see the advert for this?
Is it for real, I have a sim only rolling contract with Virgin for 200 mins and 200 texts for £15, do you think I could update to the 300 mins and 300 texts for the same money or would they just say no?

Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.

I would expect this would be an either-or, why not call their Customer Services and ask?0

they do the 300/300 for virgin media (cable tv) customers for £10 - so £15 for everyone else seems plausible to me!The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

I can't knock virgin for this one. I pay [negotiated] £15 a month for broadband only [£5 of that is a surcharge for not using direct debit]. I was incensed at the £5 surcharge, but as a virginmedia customer, this has to be the best PAYG deal going.
300 txts & 300 anytime any network minutes for £10 a month. I easily transferred my number from my old genie/o2 sim. Used to the max, the 300 mins of cross network or daytime calls would have cost up to £120..! That just about makes up for the surcharge.
The only drawback is I'm obliged to top up by a due date every month, but given the value, I don't have any problem with that.
Now if only they'd offer the latest handsets that are available for contract customers! even if they did it in arrears (eg: based on what you've spent in the last year or 2), I think that would make a near perfect PAYG service.Energy prices are rising fast so if you like my comment, thank me quickly so you can shut down your computer sooner..! And if you believe Al gore you'll be doing your bit for the planet0 -
I have just phoned their CS, I have a pay as you go phone, paid on direct debit. They have changed me over, no problem. Just had to ask!

I've been on a similar deal of 200mins and 500texts for £15pm with Virgin Mobile for the past 18 months now.
I signed up to an introductiry offer when they first launched the tariff.
Back then they gave you a choice of 300mins+300texts or 200+500 though they now seem to have dropped the 200+500 deal.
Shortly after signing up they raised the price for new customers to £20 and while my contract stayed at £15 I was a bit annoyed that they wouldn't swap me over to the 300+300 tariff without me losing my discount even though both deals were the same price when I signed up.
Might give them a call now and swap over to the 300+300 deal.0 -

The £15 offer is not payg, it is a pay monthly contract without a long tie in ,and is subject to a credit check etc.

A search of these forums will lead you to a thread where you can get 300 + 300 with a Virgin sim only deal for £10 a month. You just have to be recommended by a Virgin Media customer and a nice member of this site did this for me.
Just look.

You are only tied in for a month. Nothing more than that.0
