Its just one of many though around that price point, it was just to show the prices can be much lower than you expect in and around London0 -
Thankyou all so much. Found some excellent sites and hotels at rates I never thought imaginable. It is just a matter of sitting down with the wife and picking one out over the weekend.
Once again thank youI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -
Some very good deals on https://www.lastminute.com in their section marked "SECRET HOTELS". Most are 4/5 star hotels at excellent prices and although they do NOT name the hotels it is reasonably easy to guess which they are if you look at their "named hotels" in same area.0

If you are looking at booking.com, try to search for the same hotel on londontown.com
They have the same booking terms and conditions so if it is cheaper on booking.com then londontown will give you £100 cash back as well as matching the price.
My wife and I stayed in Club Quarters St. Pauls for two nights in December.
londontown.com were looking for £180. Booking.com were looking for £150. Londontown matched their price plus gave £100 cashback so all in all it worked out at £50 for the two nights.
And it was right beside City Thameslink station which we were able to sail straight into from Luton Airport.0 -
Hi All and thanks again. Just a quick question. Is the Docklands railway easy to use and how long does it take to get into the centre of London? We are travelling via Paddington so I wouldnt want to be staying somewhere that is an hour away.
ThanksI would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.0 -
We always use priceline 'Name your price' have had varying success - all 4* - ranging from £39 per room up to £69 per room per night. The £69 was a couple of weeks ago at the Kensington Olympia. Lovely hotel but nearest tube is Olympia which only runs every 15 mins or so on Sat. Sounds regular but not compared to every minute or two on the other lines! Light railway is just as easy as the tube. Try to get to a main station and buy an Oyster card cons=deposit to pay per card (ours was £3.50) pros = daily pay is capped so you can jump on and off all day for a maxm price, no queuing for tickets, top up and away you go! Good luck0 -
We just had a 2 night stay here... (wanted to see Afrika Afrika after getting free tickets from this site!!)

£37.50 for a double room per night. Near Kings Cross tube. Small rooms but spotlessly clean and friendly efficient staff. Continental breakfast only but fairly substantial.
Does the website not say £37.50 per person per night?
