we have received a message from the above number thanking us for ordering a new ringtone at three pounds a week. We haven't ordered it and don't want it. How can we get rid of it? we tried texting but messgaes don't go. Help please.

    i phoned the number "the service you require is not currently avaliable"

    same - not sure if that announcement is from the operation doing this or the network that the number is from, Energis.

    the number seems to be spoofed, as it would be unlikely that text mesages would come from such a number

    Does the message contain any company ID at all? I think Ofcom should be informed about this, as it seems to me to be in the same vein as the extortion and blackmail that put some wheel clampers in jail the other day.

    It comes from something or somebody called Truetone.

    The company name is truetone.

    Today we received another text to apologise for getting us mixed up with someone else and cancelling the ringtone. Great result don't you think?
