I know how you feel, it's painful, but the money really helps - £350 is a nice chunk towards your target? :beer:0 -
Thanks Rosa and Candy for the kind words. I am in much better spirit today and my mind is back on the bigger picture.
Hope everyone is having a nice bank holiday weekendDEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
Well done, woodyrocks!! Glad the nudge helped:)
I've just tried to join Amazon as a seller, having always sold books on ebay before and not made very much. However, there seems to be a problem with the verification process and they've asked me to try again in twelve hours. So tomorrow, hopefully, I shall be listing loads of books. Fingers crossed, eh?
I know it's the MAD ebay challenge, but we can include Amazon, can't we?Sealed Pot challenge #59SPC5 total £473.600 -
hi all can someone help me please. i am doing the e bay mad challange and doing really really well. very pleased. however i have in a cupboard a brand new baby seat to fix onto a bike still in the shops at £70 i want to sell mine but what is best? trade it or e bay. i have but on e bay before but coz it is large i stated collecting and put a reserve on and the bids were only £14 so i didn't sell it. i could send it but i have no idea how i think e bay is the best way to make the most but i have never sent anything large before. i guess i used parcelforce can someone explain how to do this. if i put it in trade it how much do you recon i should ask?!

jenjade have you ever been on gumtree? http://www.gumtree.com/ Its free and has lots of local adds. I sold 2 fridge freezers though it very quickly. I listed them slightly higher than i wanted and was prepared to haggle. I am pleased to report did not have to got the prices i wanted. Why not try there and look into other free local add sites.
My town has a forum we have a for sale thread and things do sell through it.0 -

jenjade, you can send an item up to 25kg in weight for as little as around £8 with www.parcel2go.com.
This is an ideal service for larger ebay items as making an item collect only vastly reduces your potential customers. P2G are a third party courier service, they negotiate a discount bulk rate and pass it on to other users at a nominal mark up, DHL will collect your parcel, but it's much cheaper to book with P2G than to ring DHL up direct.
I have bought collect items cheaply and sent P2g to collect them, and then sold them at a profit by offering delivery when i re-sell them, but if you do this you need to know the market quite well and ALWAYS ASK the seller first to make sure they are happy for you to send a courier.0 -
Sorry to hear that Horse Owner. Hope it gets resolved soon, on the bright side, you shall not have to pay any final credit fees and will probably end up making more the next time you list it
Basilseal, great tip there. Have now saved it to my favourites for future reference
Apart from 3 items all the rest of current listings are doing well. I need to report on the BIN saga though, I was in bits over the sale (crying and everything although I was due on so may have had something to do with it lol) and decided to withdraw from it. I know, I know but I just couldn't go through with it. She is not taking it very well but I have apologised profusely and there is not much more I can do about it and even though I will have to pay the final value fee of £16.64 and the listing fee I don't care I am not parting with it and that is that!DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0
