wow, that's an amazing amount!
i'm hoping not only to clear the loan but also i won't be falling over all my junk anymore!Who says I have to be normal?0 -
does anyone have a speadsheet so we can account for fees etc? and get a real idea of how much we are making?
I'm sure there was someone on Ebay March challenge thread that was kindly offering spreadsheet help to calculate profit from sales although i'm not sure if it has been updated since the new fees came into being.
I think I asked for a copy & then forgot my new email log in to see if i'd received it.
Maybe rather than inundating the person with lots of requests one of us could ask if it would be ok to use the spreadsheet and pass it on to others on this thread?Who says I have to be normal?0 -
Hello
I think I may be up for this. I am already joined to the March Ebay challenge as well. Does madness include selling things like the Jane Norman carrier bags you get when you buy something? I have a few of these and people have listed them on ebay. If you sell one for 99p and post it for £1.50, you have made a little bit? If I was to settle my loan at the end of this year, I would also need about 7K. Not sure I have 7K items though lol. Maybe I could sell dust? lol Does this challenge include items we have sold eg on Amazon/boot fares etc, coz i've done and i am going to do some more of that.0 -
Trying to be Good - that is real inspiration, well done  Did you sell big things or lots of little things?0

Just wondering what the lowest amount is that you are prepared to sell stuff for?
If something takes you 15 minutes to photograph, write a description for and upload (or am I horrendously slow??) and then you pay your fees (25p is my average fee - item for 99p staring bid plus a gallery photo); how much money do you actually make if you sell an item for 99p? Do you feel it is worth it?
Do you value your time or do you feel that 50p is more than you had yesterday and feel grateful for what you have made?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this,

Hi bigpaws
Well for me its the fun of having items for sale as well as the money i might make, i have no idea how much things will go for when i list them, or even if they will sell at all!
I have listed things hoping to get a few quid and they have actually made some good money so i guess its coz i never know?£10 a day challenge for nov £0/£300
£10 a day challenge for jan £282.11/£310, feb £483/£290, mar £650/£310, apr £332/£300, may £440/310, jun £470/£300 jul £795/£310 aug £3660/£310, sept £510/300 oct £710/£310
£2012 in 2012 £8182.88/£2012 :beer::T0 -

I'm not worried really about the time it takes me, just consider any money I make to be a bonus
When I first starting ebaying I think i started items too cheap, didn't list prop etc and had a few go for 99p, sure after paid listing fee, final value fee & then paypal fees I reckon run at a loss?
Now I am prepared to list item for a bit more money & get what i really want for it, although some items i know will sell ok i list at 99p, seems to work better for me but sure others have diff views.Who says I have to be normal?0 -
Hi folks, I have a copy of the spreadsheet. If anyone would like it, please pm me your email address and I'll forward it on.0

I'm glad i'm not the only one having a moment of spring clean madness, we're having a loft conversion in the summer and i need to clear the loft!! i sold all my maternity clothes on ebay (someone got a really good deal) and i'm doing an NCT children's sale in 2 weeks time to sell all my kids clothes and toys they have grown out of, last time i made £60 and the rest of the stuff to a car boot sale when the weather warms ups!! which i made £70 last time!!
My hubby always wonders why i sell on ebay he says the time it takes and the money i make is low, but i don't need childcare, and it doesn't effect my social life or time i spend with the kids and it's clearing out our wardrobes,
 good luck every one:beer:Would love to be a "Yummy Mummy" but more a "Slummy Mummy"!!:rotfl: :rotfl:0
