Hi, just a quick advice question, I hope someone can help...

I've got some used Nike trainers, they are a bit dirty, but I could was them. I was thinking of listing them. Has anyone got any experience as to whether they'd sell or not?
I've sold shoes and trainers on ebay before and am quite surprised that they go. I must admit that mine have in the past normally been Clarks and Next childrens ones, and I put them on for about 99p but I normally get about £3-5 per pair. I had some bridesmaid shoes that my Daughter wore and sold them for £11 and they only cost me £5 new (from ebay!!)

Also, clothes...are people listing just summer clothing now???

Oh...and games etc...do you think they'd be better nearer Christmas time?

I'm trying to cut down the amount of unsold items and relisting fees. I put a load of stuff on last year and probably only sold about a quarter of what I listed.

Selling summer clothes is good all year round as people go on holiday and they may not be in the shops at that time. Also games... that's a tricky one, as they normally sell better nearer Christmas but people still look for birthdays, etc.

I have found that the worst months are January and February so I avoid those.

5p listing day today so it's a good day to put up things you're unsure of.

I've got a canvas tote bag that was free on Marie Claire magazine - given to me by the newsagent - is that worth listing? Views welcome.

im gonna list a mix of summer and winter and just hope for the best.
i sold a pair of nike tns about 6 months ago that had a fair bit of wear out of them - not smelly or anything like that just little bits of rubber missing and scuffs - i had 4 bidders on them and they sold eventually for about £25.

games id still put on, people will be buying for birthdays aswell, just search through and see how many there are already and if theres loads dont put them on

Right I've just spent last hour reading this thread and you can count me in! I have a spare bedroom full of stuff that I have been meaning to Ebay and now is the time! So put me down for £2000 and lets see how we go - I really do have a load of stuff and think that 2 grand is perfectly achievable.

Way to go for everyone so far, you're inspirational :T

Not necessarily dodgy - everyone has to make a first purchase - but don't post the phone until you've received the money.
