    Hi

I was so motivated by this thread the other day that I listed some things on my Private Ebay ID, I sell as a Business on Ebay part-time (self-employed) and thought I'd list lots of my girls old clothing that they have outgrown, plus some books, baby items and anything else I can get my hands on.

I sold 3 things yesterday, I have 21 things listed, I have 5 things with bids on and lots of watchers (got more bids on my Private listings than my Business).

As I have one Paypal account that all money goes to I wondered if there was an easy way of keeping track of things, not sure if I can have two Paypal accounts (one for business, one for personal) or not.

This is a great challenge, we have a whole Annex full of stuff at the bottom of the garden which I am going to go through this weekend and I can't wait.

Well, what a nuts idea, but well worth a go, even if it will just inspire me to get rid of all my bloomin junk

I have far too much debt to try to clear it usuaing only lil old Ebay, but will go for one of my smallest credit cards. Think that is totally £1700, so I had better get searching :-)

I've sold 3 items so far but all for 99p so havent covered all the fees yet, but the next item that sells will be almost all profit and it has bids up to 7 pounds already. Got asked to do buy it now for ds suit so hopefully thats another 20 pounds if they do go for it and there are 17 people watching one dress I have listed obviously being not a normal size pays off sometimes. Not gonna list anymore till these things have all finished and been posted and after the nearly new sale as I'm manicly ironing baby clothes at the moment for that, then I'm gonna try and find my old maternity clothes as there are a few summery bits I didnt get rid of and I think now would be the right time to list these.
  • Just been reading this thread with interest!!
I won't join in because I'm still waiting for my new bank account to get opened, and with that I'll set up paypal. So nervous about the whole thin, but I'm going to immerse myself in the eBay thread and try to check out how all the fees work, and the methods of payment.

Good luck guys, rooting for you all!!!

Well, my listing has been put on hold yet again. I almost feel like I'm not supposed to do this challenge!
I can't get the photos to work, so I need to wait for DH to have a look at it..
Hopefully I'll get them on by tonight at the latest...

    Hi,
How many days are you doing your auctions for? Do you think 3 day listings are better than 10 or does it depend on what you are selling? I could do with a quick bit of advice before I actually list....?

Oh and was there some sort of spreadsheet for tracking ebay profit? If there is, does anyone know where I can get a copy...?

    Cheers .....and happy ebaying...!
However long my auctions last (and it varies) I always include a weekend and particularly a Sunday as that seems to be when most people browse.

Well thanks to my lovely DH I have now listed 3 items on ebay. I'm hoping they'll go for a bit and I've put them on for 7 days, so I won't have anything to update until next week.
Hopefully that will get the ball rolling now and I'll try and some every day or so...
Hope you are all doing well....(can't wait till I sell something!)
