Free Foreign SIM Cards?

Does anybody know where is may be possible to obtain a free SIM card for a foreign operator? I know that it is possible to get hold of a free card for all of the UK operators, but is it also possible to get hold of them for *any* foreign operator?
I would prefer a French operator, but am not particularly concerned and will take any!
Many thanks,
Christos

Doubt any of them would post sims overseas. EBay might be your best bet.0

Interesting subject. I know an address in France I could have one sent to. Anyone know of a website?0

I've not managed to track any down yet - I haven't even found any on the (UK) eBay website.
Anyone able to offer any suggestions?0 -

I searched the forum for free french sims and got this selection on the topic which you may find helpful, but no freebies amongst them. No joy on Google either. Remember to post it here if you track one down.0 -

Most foreign SIMs are pretty cheap in their own countries now, just like here, probably at little or no marginal cost over the included credit.
There are very occasionally free SIM offers with some included credit, but still only for delivery in their own country. I've seen Simyo Belgium about 6 months ago, and M6 Mobile in France well over a year ago.
Compare French SIM tariffs and other details (though I think the SIMs are cheaper since the last update there, e.g. Orange €5) http://www.prepaidgsm.net/en/france.html
As you'll see, their SIMs don't stay valid for long after the last top-up, so unless you go there frequently, the old one might expire; plan your top-ups carefully0
