Wow.
I bought the MR Compact Steam Cleaner on the 18th Feb from a tip here (supplied by Empire Direct).
Nice handy little gadget, but it went belly up yesterday
So I contacted MR (by phone 'cos I wanted this sorted quickly) and the nice helpful person suggested descaling. I pointed out that it was only two weeks old and shouldn't really need it - but he said to please try it and then let him know if it helped. He also told me that this is old stock and that the model I have (70450) is obsolete.
Descaling didn't make the slightest bit of difference and there was no suggestion of limescale coming out in the water when I emptied it between uses anyway.
So... quick phone call this morning to say sorry the descaling made no difference, now what? No arguments, no hassle, I'm getting the nearest equivalent current model (70455) as a replacement rather than having to go back to Empire Direct and trying to get it sorted with them.
