Batchelors chicken and mushroom pasta in sauce with a tin of sweetcorn thrown in few minutes before it's finished cooking, one of my sons favourites (you could use dried milk for the milk part if you want it store cupboard only)One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Tin of chinese stir fry veg added to some rice, egg and soy sauce - can't get much quicker and cheaper than that, doesn't taste too bad either.0

I've got one but it does use smoked pork sausage - it does have a long use by date on it though - so not sure if it counts:-
Fry an onion (I keep them chopped in the freezer)
Add a bit of garlic paste if you have it (no worries if not)
Add three tins of cooked beans (drained) - kidney beans, haricot - anything like that.
Add smoked pork sausage chopped up.
Add tin of chopped tomatoes (or passata).
Add bit of herbs if you want/have them.
Stir, heat through thoroughly. Will serve 4 or 3 really hungry people

Our favourite storecupboard tuna meal was a tin of condensed mushroom soup, cooked pasta, tin of tuna all mixed up in a casserole dish and then top with grated cheese if you have it ( I try to keep some of this in the freezer) and pop into the oven until heated through and cheese is bubbling. Lovely with some salad or any veg.
Another is Chaos Pie from the Pennypinchers John and Irma Mustoe - 1 tin of corned beef diced, 1 tin of potatoes (drained) and 1 tin of baked beans, mix into a casserole and pop into oven, again nice with some grated cheese on top.
When I do this I pour gravy over it all before it goes in the ovenLoretta0 -

I love this as a stand-by meal...
Make up a sachet of sage and onion stuffing and allow to cool. Add equal quantities of cooked, drained and cooled red lentils. Mix together. You can add an egg at this point too if you have one but fine without.
Shape into burgers and dip in flour or flour/egg/breadcrumbs and fry off. Serve in bread rolls made with your BM!
This will make enough burgers for 8 hungry people! or you could freeze half of the batch before shaping into burgers. Freezes well and actually improves if frozen.
REALLY tasty veggie burgers.
......And that's just plain clever :T :T :T :T :T
Fab idea - stuffing burgers

I always have pouches of black olives with herbs in the cupboard, always throw a few packs in my trolley if they're on special. Anyways, I've got another simple variation of tomato sauce for pasta. I chop and fry an onion, add the black olives, chopped, and then add a tinned of chopped tomatoes and a tins worth of water then simmer to reduce. This is lovely with wholewheat spaghetti.
This is one of OH's favourites meals, luckily he doesn't realise how quick and simple it is, he thinks I make it so often especially for him and not because I'm a lazy moo!0 -
I keep a tin of chickpeas and kidney beans in the cupboard along with a jar of curry sauce (currently tikka masala from aldis) to make emergency curry when the fridge has run out. Just dice and fry an onion, chuck in the chickpeas and kidney beans and simmer for 15 minutes or so. Serve with rice.
I'm also fond of pasta with some frozen peas thrown in towards the end of cooking. Drain and add a knob of butter and drizzle of olive oil and some grated parmesan or whatever cheese is lurking in the fridge.2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
I always keep tuna and pesto in the cupboard - boil some pasta, flake in the drained tuna and stir in a couple of spoonfuls of pesto. Serve with cheese. Easy and really tasty.0
