Cremola foam was fantastic, there were supposed to be bringing it back but looks like it never happened.
Was a sweet powder you put in water and it made this fab fizzy drink. I used to eat it from the tub with a spoon, always made your mouth water!!! Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but how posh was having an electric toaster?!
You just put in two slices of bread and minutes later up pops tasty toasty bread!
Much better than sitting in front of the fireplace balancing a piece of bread on a fork whilst squirming from the heat of the fire, and then fishing out the blackened morsel after it had fallen off the fork!
Is my memory playing tricks, but wasn't it tastier in those days?0 -
Cremola Foam ... I can remember that and Nesquik as well.
We used to make our own cremola foam by taking a bottle of Quosh and making up an orange drink and then adding a spoonful of Andrews Liver Salts ... was a very 'regular' occurrence in our house
What about everybodies posh desserts from years goine by

No self respecting restaurant would be seen dead serving these today.

Katyag wrote:Sky TV (we only got this ourselves last April and im still chuffed with it now and feel poshier!! lol)
Sky TV's never been posh. Virtually every council house in the country has a dish hanging on their wall. Personally i'd say posh people were less likely to watch TV, and certainly less likely to watch all the commercial american crap that is on most of the sky channels!0 -
How about double barrelled surnames.
Once the reserve of the extreme land-owning upper-classes, now representative of the council house unmarried couples who cant decide whose surname the child should have. God knows how they will manage on the estates when the second generation comes along (in about 13 years!) Quadruple barrelled or even more!0
