    Yes - and they send you a letter confirming this has been done and the amount that will be applied when interest is added at the end of the 12 months.

    Some other providers do as well :T - many don't! :mad:

    is the rate of 6.5% for one year from the time you open the isa?

    Dunno, haven't checked but have a letter to self and one to Mrs W saying, to the effect, your account was opened on xxdate your previous provider closed theirs on yydate this is z number of days and your account will be credited £? to reflect this when interest is next added. Others on here have had the same letter so I expect it's standard - rather than just being nice to us!

    Yes, but unlike many fixed rates you can add your 2008 allowance on or after 6/4/08.
