you have to have thousands of pounds to win considering the number of people that have bonds

Yes it's because people move and dont change address. Last week there was a web site in the paper for people to check if anyone wants it.

You can write to NS giving them your previous addresses and bond numbers and they will check for you. They will also issue you with a new holding certificate with a reference number so you can quickly check on site if you're a winner.

  • Hi again! just a quick update, just bought another £5000 bonds with a balance cash transfer, which will be entered in the September's draw, and last week another surprise £50 win still from the last 5, not complaining, £150 all told, who knows still hoping for the million!!
I know it could be in an account earning probably more, but hey it's a gamble!Best of luck to any one else having a go! :T

After buying £100 of bonds in Aug 03 and winning £50 in March 04 I decided to put my next stooze cash into PB's had 5K in for 7months (You have to wait for the money to hit a draw) and no winners so figured it is much better to earn High savings interest. Best idea: I am putting £100 per year into PB's much better than buying lotto tickets thats for sure! Good Luck everyone.

If you do a search on the savings board you will find a number of posts about premium bonds. I found this one particularly interesting.
