[11:09 EUR ECON: German Orders Data Fall Sharply] Mar 11

The German Jan manufacturing orders data today provides a preview of the negative surprises that are in store ahead of Thurs industrial production data. Manufacturing orders were down 8% m/m after a revised -7.6% m/m for Dec. Domestic orders were -4.3% while foreign orders were -11.4% highlighting that the global slowdown story is hitting manufacturing hard but the domestic economic slowdown is also providing little support. The EconMin is reported as saying industry production outlooks remains extremely subdued and the data on Thrs (due 11:00GMT) will likely show another sharp fall. The ECB has discounted weakness during Q1 so the data will have little impact on the policy outlook but does highlight the search for a glimmer of hope that the degree of deterioration has slowed.

just offering some info and news for people interested in what may have an effect on movements in the gbp/eur forex rate

if you have a problem with that, don't read them !!

You're just copying and pasting chunks of text from other websites, and spontaneously posting what the present rate is.

If we want to know what the current rate is, at any given time, we can check.
