I have been with [glow=red,2,300]GioInternet.com [/glow]for over a year now much to my stupidity. I can't help thinking you get what you pay for. It's £7.99 a month for upto 60 hours a month that's if you can ever get on the internet to use your minutes up. For months now I've been using a backup connection because my proper one doen't work & they're not in any hurry to help me. Their help line is an extortionate 75p - £1 per minute & of course they always put you on hold & say that they cannot call you back! On numerous occasions that I've had to call them for help (usually because I can't get connected) they have given me weak excusses, don't get back to you when they promise they will, they blame the situation on ineffiecient staff that have left & take weeks to sort out problems. My last call to them was yesterday, 23 Oct'04 and I'm convinced that I called India due to the very bad line. The guy's accent was so strong I couldn't understand him and he seemd very incapabe to help me !!!!! I am still waiting for an email from him, as he promised, to let me know the address I am to write to (yes write to, not email etc as you'd think for an ISP!!) to cancel my account........................ >:(

Dump them! I was also signed up and simply couldn't connect. Why have you put up with this service for a whole year? You are paying more by using your backup isp as well as paying Gio.
They don't make it easy to cancel as you have to put it in writing and give them notice but I would get rid ASAP if I were you.
Did you notice that they even close for lunch? Pleeeese!0
