Has anyone heard about any rate change on the Halifax Web saver account?
    http://www.halifax.co.uk/savings/personalrates.shtml#websvar
    5.4%(With card)/5.9% Gross/AER from 1st September

Edit: Of course with it being near September, I failed to notice the year mentioned - it's 2004 :/

    Interest rate cut to 4.5%.
Despite just about everybody expecting this rate cut, it wasn't as much a certainty as most people thought. The minutes released today, show the vote was 5-4 in favour of a rate cut. Most people thought they would be only 1 or 2 people voting against. Those that did vote against a rate cut included the BoE Governor and deputy Governor. This has surprised most Economists who were expecting this to be the start of a trend of rate cuts. Further rate cuts this year now appear unlikely.
  • Cahoot web site now clearly states that the first tier rates are now as follows

    Non Introductory savings 4.85%
    Introductory savings 5.30%
  • Has anyone heard anything about revised rates and dates from Halifax yet (esp. Web Saver)?
