Vyke/ Network Bill

Hello :j

Just got back from USA. Used Vyke over there for texts and calls, thought all was great.

I now have my mobile phone bill where I have been charged fro the Vyke calls too ! Bill said as there were "incoming" ? Anyone else had this problem before I go back to my mobile network provider ?

Thanks

Callback services can't remove incoming charges where they will be applied. There are some global SIMs with free incoming roaming calls in some countries, or deals with 3 or O2 in Europe, but none of this applies to calls received in the USA, which is always expensive for roaming.

Next time, look into getting a local SIM card. Even these charge incoming calls, so using a callthrough access will be just as good as callback.
  • Oh sugar. I am sure I had read everything too.

    Thanks anyway
  • Yeah. I just been to Thailand, chatting for up to 1/2 hr at a time to my girlfriend, bragging to my pals what a great system Vyke was. Do not use it!!! It is a rip off. The cost from my network provider for receiving the calls back from Vyke have pushed my bill up big time. I only have the first few calls included in my current bill but it's over £100. Not looking forward to my next bill.
Avoid Vyke. First bad bit of avice from Martin Lewis:mad:

Hi Guys, Redux is 100% right. You must have a local pay as u go sim for your phone or use a second cheapo one. Vyke is great and is so so easy to use. if you are in a hotel or other establishment say, you can set up a call as incoming if you are at reception that is then its even cheaper to call home. I find it the best service yet
