Tuna into a curry

I should add that I love fish curry, especially coconutty ones. Just not tinned tuna, thanks. To me, you can always feel the tin.
Edited to add: my curry cravings are why I always keep frozen white fish and some smoked fish and some prawns in the freezer. It is always possible to put a curry together in this house without waiting more than a few minutes!!!Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -
Im really craving curry but have no meat defrosted and dont want to go shopping would a tuna curry taste ok and if yes can anyone share a recipe with me pleaseee:beer:
Well, I make some sort of dip with tuna and cream cheese and lemon juice and I always add a little curry powder for flavour, it seems to taste fine to me. I usually buy the Tuna in brine and I would rinse it first if you are going to make a curry with it. I can't see why it wouldn't work and if your craving is that bad you wil probably enjoy it;)0 -
Rick Stein did a nice salmon curry from Sri Lanka. Link here.
Goes well with a crunchy salad of diced/chopped cucumber, spring onions and raddish.
Not tuna I know but if you like fish and you like curry.0 -

You can buy tinned coronation tuna these days can't you? Well to my mind, you'd be able to produce the same thing with a little tuna, mayo and curry powder. If you think you'd like it, I'm sure it'd be a fine cheapo mix for pasta (sounds a bit studenty I know, but I bet it'd be OK!)0
