Cleaning ties

DH got pooed on by a bird on his way home last night (Yes I did :rotfl:) Trouble is it's on his favourite tie and it's silk. I let it dry and tried to scrape it off but it's left a stain.
I really don't want to put it in the washer. Any suggestions please.

If the tie is washable, put shampoo (it is designed for hair which is protein, the same as silk) directly onto the stain & leave for about 10 mins. Then wash in tepid water and rinse well.
If it isn't washable, have it dry cleaned; which won't be cheap, but weigh it up against the cost of the tie.
