    Hi everyone
I am going to make up my own favors using boxes from this website
www.world-of-wedding-favours.com the ones we want are the ivory silk and black silk which are £3.77 and £4.17 for packs of 10. I'm going to decorate them with ribbon and fill them with Thornton's chocolates. Their trays of chocolates work out at really good value http://www.thorntons.co.uk/ThorntonsSite/category/Wedding+Service_Chocolate+Trays/
We should be able to make them for well under £2 each and that's with 4 chocolates in each box (if they will even take that many!)

Country Baskets is a great place to get all things for weddings!
It's a trade place so you need a card or go with someone who has a card
    look on the website!

OK, really lame question here... but...

We're having a wedding breakfast, about 30 people then an evening reception for about 120 people... I was only thinking of favours for the first 30 people. Do I need to provide them for the evening folk too? There are still hundreds of love hearts left at the pound shop so not a huge problem but I've bought fancy boxes and am decorating them with ribbon.... The only thing I was going to do was dot the spare boxes around (Got 50 so about 20 spare) and any love hearts that are left over put in bowls amongst the buffet...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I'm making favours for the wedding breakfast guests... I have enough to do some more too but not 100% sure about what is best to do... No doubt I'll find a solution at some point :rotfl:

We are only providing favors for people attending the wedding breakfast-they are usually placed on the table for the meal, so I don't think you are expected to provide them for evening guests too. It sounds a nice idea to put spare ones into glass bowls though...although I won't have any chocolates left over after it's one for the box one for me...

You could spread them on the tables for the evening!
A nice extra little touch to continue the theme!

  • Hi

I don't usually post on here as I'm not even engaged yet (just wishing I was!lol! I'm sure Dp will get the hint one day-if I'm lucky!)

Anyway I think this site is good:

we got married last month. we had 50 guests at the church and meal.
i got gold foil covered heart shapped chocolates on ebay for £8.50 delivered (they are only £10 for 50 in hobby craft) which we had one on each place setting. then as favours i got mini packets of love heart sweets for about £6 ish on ebay and little ivory pouches about £4, for them to go in and everyone loved them. i personally can't stand sugared almonds so they were a good alternative.
there were 9 children at our wedding, so i got party bags for about 50p in wilkinsons and spent about £5 on some little toys, packets of pencils each and a mini chocolate bar which kept the children more than entertained.

i hope i've given you some ideas
