I don't tend to over whisk mine. I do it until just mixed and no more. You can whisk TOO much you know!
For easy recipes have you tried twinks hobnobs yet? or my snickerdoodles?
I think you'd like those, and they are easy to make as well.0 -
Another thought has just occured to me............
When I've had a family size tub of yog to use up I use a cup as my standard measure for all the ingredients. You could try that in future?
If you us the family yog pot you'll nedd to split the mix into 2 tins, thats maybe why your cake neede a bit more cooking and was so high over the tin.

I weighed it all out as per Rikki's first recipe - 175g yoghurt. I ate the rest! Don't forget to factor in the slight drunkenness....:o :beer:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

Should it be a very dense cake? It does taste good, but I don't think you could eat a lot...even if you're me! :rotfl:
Cakes made with oil instead of butter are more dense. You can add baking power to the SR flour for a little more lift.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

Thinks.....wonder if you've got any of that cake left Mr Bad Example? I seem to remember you were trying to tempt me into doing your housework the other day with offers of cake? Mind you......I come expensive you know.....you'd have to throw in a glass (or two) of wine with it.
Better get in quick you know....the diet starts next week:D0
