No you can use the web to upload. I think you're limited to 50mb chunks so you'll have to rar and split stuff that is large.

Shame, not really any good for daily backups etc then. Mozy could do with some competition for their free service.

Less than 50Mb a day changes on my system so it works for me (and I'm a software dev). Why don't you just get an external USB disk or something?
£8k to pay off before Jan 2011! Was 28k to pay off by Jan 2010 though so I'm happy :)

I don't need to - I use Mozy, so I don't have to do anything, it is totally automatic, don't have to remember to upload stuff etc.

Was just commenting that competition can make services better :)

There's a free version that lets you store up to 2gb a a time. I've used it for about 2 years now as I work for myself and have important files I need backing up each day.

Mozy is free up to 2GB. When that's not enough for all your photos and music files there are always discount codes available for signup. There is currently an offer of 25% discount. But the normal offer is 10% off.

Check for the current discount codes at www.unlimitedbackup.net

SPAM. That website just takes you to a website with an affiliate link for Mozy.

By the way, your website is awful, are you about 12 or 13?

We use Amazon Web Services at http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html?node=3435361 we upload a full company backup every night and it costs about 2 US Dollars a month - it works really well for me
  • I use www.steekr.com as I want to back up all my photos, My Documents, and a few archive bits. I have a 10GB account, you can open a 1GB account free.

They offer 5GB for 25 euros and 10GB for 35 euros (they do up to 100 GB!), you can access your files via the web, you can install their application and your Steekr drive is accessible from Windows Explorer as if it was a drive on your computer.

You can also set it up to automatically back up files or directories on your computer. Means you can access your files anywhere in the world as well.

I started using this one recently - 2GB free storage with a scheduler app and a "continuous" back up service (which you can disable if you want). Found it easy to set up.
