I am about to sign up for a phone, with either a choice of getting it through Vodafone or Phones4u

The Phones4u offer is slightly better, but I would prefer to deal with Vodafone direct. If I get it through Phones4U, after 18 months, the contrat length, does everything revert to being handled by Vodafone?

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

    Dont do it .......... Seriously.

The problem with buying through resellers is that your not dealing with Vodaphone your contracts with them. I posted a longish cautionary tale called something like resellers scam a few weeks ago on this.

I was mis-sold (i.e. the seller lied through his back teeth) a contract in january and even though my provider 3 have finally stepped in to cancel it I'm out of pocket about £100 (the reseller phoned me 3 months before my old contract was up promising to end the old contract that month if I took out a new one there and then ..... guess what didnt happen) and stuck with another 18 months on my old contract now with no upgrade benefits (i.e. new handset, gifts etc).
