Is my immersion heater kaput?

    Well I just had a poke around the immersion. Moved the thermostat slightly and the wires around it all started making a hissing/fizzing noise :eek: . So I switched off the power connection on the wall and backed away slowly. Deffo need someone who knows their electrickery to sort it out then.
