I have never had a problem with Natwest and same day credits. I regularly pay in cash over the counter and also through ATMs. As long as i do it before 3:30pm it always credits same day. Unless a cheque is included in what is being paid in then even the cash part of it takes upto 3 days to credit. If i ever have cheques to pay in as well as cash i always pay the cash in seperately to the cheques for this reason.

First Direct are much better. I would move there. First Class Service from First Direct.

I agree that First Direct give better telephone service, and generally offer excellent customer service. However, I find Smile is up there with them on most counts, and in some ways gives me a service that I prefer. The main point is that both of them are streets ahead of most of the competition.
