Hi, i am still with 3 on the 3togo tariff from years gone by (2003 i think), i am unsure what the call rates are now and cannot find any info on 3`s website...does anyone know?, anyhow is this now out of date compared to what you now get from 3 for your money?...any pointers would be most appreciated.

As far as I've been able to determine, its on the 'old' standard tariff on their website.
i.e. 10p per text, 25p to other networks, 10p to other 3 mobiles & landlines.
It's not that competitive compared to the new flat 12 rate.

The 2 good points are that it doesn't get cut off, and you have full access to roaming including Sweden, Denmark & Australia '3 like Home' that don't seem to be on pay as you go. I notice Sydney under your username ;)

  • I've still got my '3ToGo' sim from 2003 too. From what I remember it was meant to be Three's version of a pay as you go service. Basically you pay for your calls at the end of the month by direct debit like a contract phone but there is no line rental charges like a pay as you go phone. They still send me a bill every month usually for £0.00! :D

If you call them up and say you're thinking about leaving them, they might offer you a good retentions deal to convert your tariff to a new contract - I was offer £5/month for life for 300 minutes and 150 texts plus £5 downloads and 25 mms messages.
It's definitely worth giving them a call!

I had two of these sims and when I called to cancel I was offered free line rental for 12 months. I would be surprised if they didnt offer you something similar, although this was few months ago.

SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
  • They offered me 12 months free with a new phone, 100 mins and 100 texts for getting off 3togo. It's not competitive anymore anyway.
