    Going to attempt to prise DS off Wii and OH off PC as I have hired 24 season 5 box set and I need to get off this laptop before my back snaps from stooping!

    So it's a modem. What you want is a router. It'll have ethernet ports which you can plug the Xbox, laptop and other things into it.

    If you get one of the wireless ones, then you needn't have wires trailing - assuming you can get a radio unit for the other end.

    leave for the afternoon and still going strong, hello and goodbye again as ds1 is being a pain in the rear end and wants computer for illicit downloading- after i cleaned it up and everything. Will pop in on 100 or so pages later. sorry to see pole dancing still not popular, but talk has switched for some useful banking tips.
