Ok Ok I know I should have emailed first.... the cost now is not an issue its the principle!

So from what everyone is saying now if I were to sell an item on ebay I can charge for my time .... my petrol... my car parking.... wear on my shoes..... envelope cost....ink cost....sticker cost.... o and yeah postage cost and factor this all into the postage and packaging!
..... a bag of glitter can be posted in small jiffy bag cost... 20p ish then 2nd class postage 24p, then a bit for ink and sticker... this in total would not be more than £1.

    ...

The point is that you can charge whatever you like...if you show it in your auction and it looks excessive then people are unlikely to bid, so as a seller you won't make any sales. if you don't show any postage then again most buyers will not bid unless they have a guarantee of the costs..so again seller loses out.

If it is really excessive, and the ebay help pages example suggest that £25 for a DVD would be excessive, then ebay may well stop the auction on the basis of fee avoidance. However if the postage is not shown then ebay are unlikely to do anything and merely refer the buyer to the help pages where it suggest contacting ther seller first if anything is not clear in the auction.

Obviously one does not know which way ebay will jump with this, but IMHO I don't think they will consider the post and packing excessive in this case.

Just noticed you mention the seller has 8 negs already. How come this did not put you off buying the item in the first place? Did you read them before buying?
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
