Can I use them on more than one computer?
I'm going away for 2 days and the person has PC issues and I have a few CD's where I have used the software on them but would like to try and use it on their PC too, to try and help them.
Thanks
PS: Won't see any replies for a few hours, going to defrag.

You should be able to use them on any number of computers, I would have thought.0

As your response is so quick, I can reply now.
Thanks, I thought you may be able too as it's a free CD and not purchased the program.
I'll give it a go, but thought i'd ask for advice first

legal position - depends on the terms and conditions of the licence - just because it was 'free' with a magazine does not mean that you own the software or that you can do anything you like with it - otherwise there would be nothing to stop another magazine putting it on their free disc next month. Most commercial programs have restrictions - often to one or 2 computers. The free versions of the Delphi programming language which appears regularly even contain limitations on the programs you generate
Practical position - use it as many times as you like - the main reason firms allow their programs to be put on these disks is the free publicity for the updated version which they hope to sell youTANSTAAFL !0 -
Thanks Jim, will go ahead and try it on the other PC0
