i saw them on watchdog using wd40 which is a releasing fulid not a lubricant.
so yes it free's the mecanism but long term has no lubricating properties.
renault are heading for corporate manslaughter if they dont pull the finger out!!
Thats what I was always taught, hence me lathering the thing in grease as soon as I realised it could be a problem.
Its a worry for those who dont look after the mechanics of a car thats for sure.0 -

Its something I was always told to do by my dad, he was a test driver by profession and he reckoned it stopped them seizing. He drove in the USA from coast to coast where sand from the deserts would get in there etc followed by rain and snow on the east coast, just an old habit I guess.0
