Who's best for broadband?

I'm coming to the end of my "sentence" with AOHELL and wondered who I should change to? I've heard Plusnet, adsl4less and Freedom2surf are quite good but I don't know which one to choose or if there's anyone better.
The pc's used for lots of surfing, quite a bit of downloading and online gaming so don't want anything limited. (Pc's off less than it's on:doh: )
Also email address/ webspace would be a bonus, as would cheap migration costs. Customer service is very important and can't afford more than £24.99 a month.
Am I asking the impossible?

My mind not only wanders .......... sometimes it leaves completely

I have been with Metronet for some time now and I am very satisfied with it.
Initially they were very fast to install and service was great.
They have a normal 020 landline number for help and I have always found them very helpful when I needed them.
I just moved house which means starting a new account with £70 costs.
I spent a week deciding wether to change providers. I almost went with Tiscali to save my fees and get a free modem. Thankfully helpful folk in these forums warned me away from Tiscali.
Still undecided I opened my new copy of Which magazine and this month they did a report on Broadband providers. Metronet came out on top of the list showing the best customer satisfaction rating of all. Followed closely by Freedom2surf
It doesnt take much guesswork what I did next
I signed up with metronet again and already have a connection date fixed for one weeks time.
Unable to do without internet even for a week I searched for a temporary dialup solution. Watch out here. many offer low rates and say month by month contract. On reading small print I discovered it almost impossible to get a single month unlimited access. My choice Then became MyInternetPass. It cost me a tenner for one month unlimited dialup freephone access and I am not tied to any contract
I know Metronet have no limits and cost varies depending on your usage
Count on a minimum of £11pm for low usage and a maximum of £22pm for games, downloads etc. I highly recommend them

F2s without a shadow of a doubt. I am now with Plusnet, but their Customert Service is n't what is used to be and they seem to introduce restrictions and changes via the backdoor.
F2S were excellent and very very stable - no downtime to my service that I noticed in nearly 2 years. The 2 or 3 pounds a month extra are well worth it.0 -
I was ready to venture into broadband with ndo at £19.95,having done much research then a friend told me of plusnet as being ok but he had problems.
The required packagfe was cheaper at £14.99,I called plusnet and after 15 minutes on hold on Tuesday morning ,I called techincal and had same -forget.
Back to ndo and from application to activation in 5 days and no problems at all.
Friendly helpful staff and easy to contact, they are now part of namesco which prides itself on service.
I am very happy ,check out on ndo.com0 -

I fully endorse this comment. They are undoubtably the best for anyone running a business as their service is extremely reliable.
I recently had to seek advice regarding technical matters and the guy I asked for help even called me back later to see how I was getting on.0 -
As with Vinylmusic, I'm with Metronet. A look at the ADSLGuide forums and you will get a feel for the ISP's. Some have long posts and rants and others like Metronet don't. 3 wireless connected computers and 1meg line and my bill rarely comes to over £16.00 per month.
