Matched betting & static ISP

I am ditching my long term Orange/Freeserve/Wanadoo love/hate affair and looking at dslzone, who recommend several. I quite like the look of ADSL who are offering a decent looking package for my 'out in the sticks' post code PL15. My only worry is that they have a static ISP. I am used to Orange and it's dynamic ISPs and not having problems with betting/gambling sites. Does anyone know if ADSL are a UK ISP? Any recommendations or otherwise.
Family of 3, normal access, no downloads of films, odd itunes but mostly website surfing.
Thanks.

by adsl do you mean adsl24? if which case they are an entanet reseller (entanet don't sell to the public) and are very good. static ip is not a problem for most people, in fact it can be an advantage to some applications.
most of the top 10 at dslzone are entanet resellers!Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
I guess you mean ADSL24 (the Entanet reseller). Yes, they're a UK ISP and one of the best at that but they use a static IP. As do all the other Entanet resellers (ADSL24, UKFSN, Vivaciti, Freeola, Aquiss, TitanADSL, Xifos and Falconnet), Zen, IDNet and Newnet. That's many of the best ISPs out of the race.
So your choice of good ISPs that use a dynamic IP is pretty limited. Check if you can get O2 Broadband / Be. They would be your best choice of dynamic IP ISP. Next best choice would be UKOnline. The true cost of something is what you give up to get it.0 -

Surely even if you're on a dynamic IP ISP you have to turn your router on and off to get assigned a new IP address?
Have you thought about using a proxy IP service? You can pay for decent proxy services.0 -

I checked UKOnline recommended above. The main concerns so far are mandatory(?) purchase of the router (£50) and 'traffic management'.0 -
I thought the majority of ISP's offered dynamic IP addresses and that you actually had to pay to get a static IP or get a business broadband package to get a static IP.
What about Plusnet, Madasafish, BT, Sky ?
All these type of ISPs "ADSL24, UKFSN, Vivaciti, Freeola, Aquiss, TitanADSL, Xifos and Falconnet, Zen, IDNet and Newnet" - are more geared towards business broadband packages (except maybe Zen - and I'm not saying they don't do consumer broadband, but it's not their main focus) so I wouldn't be surprised if they were offering fixed IP addresses as standard, they aren't exactly mass market consumer ISPs like Orange/Plusnet/Be/etc...0 -
you need to be aware that even with dynamic ip its possible to have the same ip address for ever
if you keep your router on and the ISP does not force an IP change (and why would they) your IP will be fixed
also when you connect to a DHCP it knows each individual computer and when it assigns it an IP address it also gives it a lease time (normally 8 days) if you connect in those 8 days it renews your lease and you keep the same IP address.0
