I have two Motorola Timeport L7089. One is an Orange contract phone, the other bought on ebay - no idea which network it was originally registered with. (This model dates back to 2000.)
When inserting the 3 SIM, both phones prompt me "Enter Special Code Now:". I gather what it wants is an unlock code, although I read further up in the thread that most Motorolas cannot be unlocked via code?
Strangely, when I insert a T-Mobile SIM in the ebay Timeport, no unlocking is required.
I bought a 3 SIM solely fo the purposes of testing whether I have reception for the 3 network. I don't really use mobile phones otherwise and have no requirement for other networks.
If anyone knows a way forward I'd be grateful.Dagobert0 -

I had just wanted to verify that I really have reception for the 3 network, which they claim I have, before entering into a mobile broadband contract and buying the required hardware.Dagobert0 -
Hi
Does anyone know how to unlock a Samsung B100, which is currently under Orange, either for free or very cheaply? I cannot get through to Orange without some ID number that I don't have and can't find anything specific with a google search or on this forum search.
Help!?
