  • To unlock the Samsung Galaxy Ace go here - forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204705 every reply post is a thank you and it worked for me.
If like others you have problems getting your computer to recognize your phone you've probably got an Asus motherboard and need to plug the usb in the back of the computer and not the front. The instructions may look complex but its a 15 minute job and its free.
By the way avoid unlock codes direct they charge you for information that is already available on this site, offer unlock codes that are sometimes temporary and/or do not work.

  • I have come across a site - http://www.network-unlock-codes.com that claims to be able to unlock by code (£3)Is this likely? I can't find any phone number or address for the company so am a bit suspicious (anyone used them?) but don't really want to pay £10 to unlock a 5 year old phone . any ideas
    cheers

I haven't heard of them myself, but anyone that doesn't have a contact number & address I wouldn't touch.

I managed to get an unlock code( *#7465625*12*7088295# )however when I input the first # I get the message "code too short" is this to be expected or may that be the reason the code hasn't worked?
Also, should you put a sim card in the phone before entering the unlock code?

    Cheers
