Don't worry, Voyager2002 regularly spouts an extraordinary amount of crap on here although this has to be the single most 'holier-than-thou' piece of crap I've ever seen him/her post.

Good job you're not going to Berlin or you'd have to learn Russian as well

    Hi,

Spanish cigarette prices can usually be found on holiday truths in one of the Costa sections.

    Hope this helps.

I think those are non EU Duty Free prices probably.
The following link dates from 2003 and the ave pack was 3.4 Euro in Germany
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/3206440.stm
    Norway 7.3
    UK 6.7
    France 5.0
    Germany 3.4
    Netherlands 2.9
    Italy 2.5
    Spain 1.9

    US 3.3
    Japan 2.2
    South Africa 1.3

The exch rate then was around 1.40, as opposed to 1.28 ish just now.

Spain you can buy JP Black for 23 Euro, the rest around 26-29.

decided to have a lay in this morning . at £2 per pack saving, i have to consider £60 flight, £20 petrol, £6 parking, £20 drinks, snacks, lunch, my time so i would have to buy at least 100 packs to break even which is a lot.

Hahn has a great duty free shop, probably the best of all the Ryanair airports I've flown through. Tobacco prices are regulated in Germany, so you won't get a better deal buying away from the airport. When I was there in October it was €4.30 for 40g Golden Virginia, normally about £8 in the UK. Cigs are sold in packs of 17 I think rather than 20, and I think I paid about €3.80 per pack for Lucky Strikes. Spirits were also well priced, about £10 for a litre of Jim Beam, that's over £20 over here.

    LOL nice pic Peter :rotfl:
I like how the OP asks for help regarding smokes and gets a lecture about health and taxes? :rotfl:

I have to agree with Deegee.. why not just hunt for the 1p flights and save even more :D
:D *If you like the advice I give...let me know by clicking the THANKS button* :D

Actually, you NEED to stop smoking. If you choose to continue smoking, that is not a need. And if you choose to live in a manner that will damage your health, then you should not be seeking to dodge the tax that will help to fund the health-care that you are going to need. Least of all by flying, adding to pollution and global warming.

Have a go at drinkers for a change
They cost the NHS more each year and also have a massive affect on family and social life
I dont see anyone banning that...Just keep making it cheaper to get more and more people hooked and ruin more lives. I find a drunk more offensive than a ciggie

I'm not having a go at moderate drinkers
    BTW I do both
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel
