it bounced on about the 4th working day. i found out by checking my online banking. then the following day i received the unpaid cheque in the post from my bank. hope that helps.

i have since received a cash payment from the buyer instead, with a letter stating that she had cancelled the cheque herself due to some problems with her bank. i was not informed that she had cancelled the cheque until after i contacted her to tell her it had bounced so maybe she was hoping i would send the item before i found out!

If the guys not answering his emails then pull his Ebay contact information and phone the number. Could be all sorts of reasons for the bank to refuse his cheque. If it was only a small amount then chalk it up to experience but hopefully the guy will resend you the money to avoid further embarassment

there was no cheque,it was paypal.

i have contacted paypal,i gave them all the information they asked for also asked a question, then i recieved an automated reply today telling me if i needed further advise just to contact them.
