payment reversal

Been ebaying for 2 years and never had this before.
i got an email from paypal telling me that a buyers bank has reversed a payment i had recieved.
i have not had any communication from the buyer to let me know of a problem,im wondering why would the bank do this?
i have already posted the item off so the buyer should have recieved it by now.

i had a cheque returnede today, fortunately i hadn't yet sent the item as i had a funny feeling about it. i had an email asking me to send it asap as it was a present for a friend and then a letter with the cheque asked me to post quickly as it was a present for her boyfriend. hmm.

i would never post anything until a cheque had fully cleared in my account.

i sometimes post items before cheque clears, but only if the person has really good feedback and/or the item is low value. i've never had a problem yet.

this item was £25, and despite twice being hassled to post it quickly/asap, i waited for it to clear first. I am glad they did ask me to post it quickly now as that was the reason i decided not to send it (if that makes sense!) as they did have over 100 feedback and 100% so I would possibly have sent it otherwise.

you would need to contact PP to follow this up.
unfortunatly not using a tracked delivery voids your seller protection

If the guys not answering his emails then pull his Ebay contact information and phone the number. Could be all sorts of reasons for the bank to refuse his cheque. If it was only a small amount then chalk it up to experience but hopefully the guy will resend you the money to avoid further embarassment

Just as a matter of interest - how long did it take for the cheque to 'bounce'? Did you find out within 6 working days and how were you contacted?
