Mobile shop are offering the following deal:

Free Samsung E720
O2 Network
200 Xnet Anytime Mins
100 Texts
Double mins and texts for first 3 months
Half price line rental for 12 months (via cashback months 5,7,9,12)
12 month contact

Dialaphone are offering this:

Free Samsung E720
O2 Network
200 Xnet Anytime Mins
100 Texts
4.99 line rental for 6 months (via cashback months 3,6,9,12,15)
12 month contact
Extra £10 + Clock

Obviously the mobileshop deal is much better, but Dialaphone have got a price match promise. How good are they at honouring this?

Here is what Dialaphone say on their website:

Think you’ve found a better deal somewhere else? If you have we now offer a Best Price Guarantee.

In order to qualify you will need to first order the phone via the website then you will need to contact our customer service team by phone (contact details will be sent on ordering) to alert them of the better deal. Once this has been verified, we will then match your order to the better deal.

Please see details below for exactly how to qualify for this Price Matching.
Terms and Conditions

1. The price match comparison must be identical, i.e. exactly the same brand new phone on the same network and price plan offered by Dial-a-Phone
2. We must be able to verify the offer, and the handset must be available for immediate delivery
3. You can claim at any time within your 14 day peace of mind period
4. A Cashback alternative will be offered where the price matched offer includes a free gift not stocked by Dial-a-Phone
5. Handset Only and 3rd Party Accessories are not covered by the Price Match Guarantee.
6. Due to extremely short supply we are unable to offer our price match guarantee against any Orange offer with a Samsung D500.

Any advice will be appreciated guys.

i just price match a motorola v3 razor that osps was offering at a much better price/deal than dialaphone and they price matched it..no problem. the procedure is to buy the phone and then call CS and ask for a price match. they take about a couple of days to approve it etc and then they send you a letter confirming it.

mm66 thanks for your comments. Do you have to hold on the line for ages before you get through to an advisor? Also, do you think I could refer myself to get the £20 (I am a current DAP customer) and do you think the lloyds £40 off link would work for this?

I ended up finding another deal with dialaphone which cant be found on their main site and ended up quite a bit better off than I would have been with the mobileshop deal.

    I got:

    Free Samsung E720
    O2 Network
    200 Xnet Anytime Mins
    50 Texts
2.99 line rental for 7 months (via cashback months 3,6,9,12)
    12 month contact
    Samsung Bluetooth Headset
    Extra £10 + Clock
    £20 referral
£20 lloyds TSB (if this works)

Which equates to around £10 a month line rental. I am quite pleased :-)

Direct link if anyone is interested

Can I ask why not just go for the mobile shop deal? Is there something wrong with them? I'm thinking of going for that deal myself with mobile shop

    thanks

    http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/ltsbstudent

It is a student offer from Dialaphone and lloyds TSB for an extra £20 cashback after 48 days or something like that.

I will update in 7 weeks and let you know if I got it or not.

There are other threads on here about this £20.

Hi RealCrazy, How did you get to know about Dial A Phone deals which are not currently on the main site?
Can previous web offers be access?

    Thanks DSR

    Hi mate.

That deal was from last month but it runs until 31st August so you can still get it.

The free bluetooth headset is great and the cashback terms are favourable but at month 12 your account will be in credit so I am unsure if O2 will refund you any funds after contract is cancelled at 12 months - if you wish to cancel that is.

I bookmarked the deal which was handy.

This link takes you to the deal with the lloyds bonus included.
