I've used VoIP Cheap, not had any problems with them, but use VoIP Buster more. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
I registered with voipcheap, paid the minimum £1 subscription, but after day 1
have not been able to connect! Every time I attempt to log on I am told 'client is not able to connect'. I have e-mailed the customer services on numerous occasions but have had no response whatsoever!
Can Martin or someone help me please???0 -
A warning to anyone else thinking of using Skype in order to make 'cheap' phone calls over Broadband to Landlines and Mobiles!
Having just installed Skype and used it for making calls to other Broadband users, I made the mistake today of joining their payable service to phone mobiles and Landlines. Having paid my 10 Euros to set up the account, I made a few phone calls and was horrified to read the true cost of the calls.
I realized too late I had of course read the cost in Euros per minute and not £ per minute. The true cost was 16.5p per minute to mobiles and 1.5p per minute to Landlines.
Thanks to Martin, I already use 18866, so using Skype is not really the 'bargain' I first thought it was. It's a bit late for me now, I will just have to use up the rest of the credit but I wanted to post this message in order to warn others who may fall into the same trap!0 -

Maybe a router (if using one) or your firewall is causing the problem. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... VoIPBuster is now 5 Euros for unlimited calls, no 1hr cutoff and you get to use the 5 euros as credit for chargeable calls (e.g. when using 0845, 0870 is unavoidable). Still unbeatable value - have paid 5 euros (well 5.90 as they add some kind of tax or other) and have been on the phone for ages at a time and not lost any credit! Try getting that kind of value from BT

Liked the look of this, downloaded it, then realised it's only for NT systems...annoying. Looks like I'll have to wait till I've upgraded this computer. In any case, thanks for the recommendation!0
