Just waiting to hear back from my credit card company. Still can't access my account but I have all the e-mails with details I'm going to need.0

So....Dear Client;
It is with a lot of regret and sadness that we must announce the closure
of the company 9086 - 8316 Québec Inc who managed the operations of
DVDSoon.com.
The assets of DVDSoon.com have been taken by Canadian
Distribution Services which means the site will remain open and all
activities will be maintained. Therefore all pending orders will be
honored.
Unfortunately all operations that were suspended and were the
responsibility of 9086 - 8316 Québec Inc will not be honored. These
operations include credits, refunds, replacement requests, and Fidelity
iPoints.
If you wish to obtain more information please send your questions to:
9086 - 8316 Québec Inc.

We thank you for your support and your comprehension.
The Administration,
There goes my $35 dollars of credit then from when they did a mass order cancellation back in August...
I paid with a visa debit card (Barclays Connect) anyone had any luck of getting money back from them in a situation such as this?
Majorly !!!!!! off now0 -
Just spoken to someone at my branch of Barclays, who directed me towards their Visa Debit card services (I think just for barclays) who were very helpful and will be sending a form out in the post soon.
If anyone else ordered using their barclays debit card, the number is:
01604 254689, option 2.
I'll keep you posted as to how it turns out.

I had $CAD20 owed to me. Not traceable to any one order due to re-orders etc. C'est la vie, I saved more than this with their outrageously low prices and for the sake of £7 it isn't worth the effort to prove a chargeback.
Some sympathy for those who had $100's outstanding with refused chargebacks but lessons to be learned with these and others such as Splash, don't pre-order or order large amounts at any one time. It's easy to be wise after the event though.0 -
How did OP Tabunny get on, Silent Bob and Speedy?
Glad I saw this before I might have ordered with them, had my eye on one of their dvd box sets outrageously cheap & always have been. Very sad.

Sorry to bring this back up after months but I searched and this seemed the most relevent.
I hadn't read about DVD soon and their problems so I ordered season 1 of LOST costing £16. The order was processed on May 16th and shipped on June 16th.
It says 6-8 shipping but after reading these posts, I get the feeling it is never going to arrive. I paid on my debit card and the money had been taken. Can I do anything or shall I just put it down to a life lesson ?
Any help gratefull received0 -
My understanding is that DVDSoon went under and was 'sold' to DVD Import, who are one of the same apparently. So in affect, DVDSoon managed to walk away from a load of mess and then start again overnight.
Continue to google for DVDSoon/DVD Import and you'll see they still do not offer refunds, rarely send you any items and so forth. No matter how cheap they are do not use them. They have form/previous. If you must, then please, please use a credit card so that you can get a charge back.
It could have been lost in transit or never sent. DVDSoon still have a 'report a missing item' link on their website so report as missing in the first instance, then after about 3-4 weeks they'll determine if another is to be sent, if it is in stock. You have to go through this process as the CC company will not entertain you until you've exhausted every route with the supplier first.
You may have to wait many more weeks for item to come back into stock (as DVDsoon never kept stock, they merely ordered it from their supplier when you ordered it from them - despite the 'in stock and ready to ship' statements!.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -
Thanks Jason.
I'll give them a couple of weeks and then try that missing item link.
From reading the net, it seems like I'm just one of many who says their items have been shipped but are unlikely to get them.0 -
Inititate a chargeback anyway, I'm still waiting for a refund of my credit from them from back in February and loads of people have had orders "posted" but never received them - the order/tracking numbers all start with PP317 (I think) for these non-delivered items.Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Snoochie Boochies0 -
Yes it was a PP317 package
Rang us Barclays Visa and they are sending me a form to try and get the money back.0
