Got the same deal in Southend High Street appararently all the post offices are linked to the same computer system. Hope this helps,So you dont have to travel to Sunny Essex you can go to your own local branch, that does foreign exchange.

just got some USD at the post office at Pitsea Tescos and the exchange rate was 1.9642 -defintely the best rate around (much better than the online post office exchange rate!). I paid by cash so never paid any fees.
