Pitsea Tescos best dollar rate i've found so far

I know this a tad geographically specific but I thought I would share the info anyway.
I noticed that Pitsea Tescos, just off the A13, has now got a travelex booth, which is offering better rates than their website, however this comes at a premium as they charge an admin fee, if memory serves 1.5% or something like that, however the postoffice which is located beside the booth also does the same rate, but does not charge any fees.
For example the dollar on travelex online on saturday was 1.93 and at the postoffice in tescos and the travelex in tescos it was 1.95.5.
Not sure if other tescos up and down the country have a travelex booth in but I thought I would share the knowledge anyway.
all the best

"however the postoffice which is located beside the booth also does the same rate, but does not charge any fees"

if this isn't too personal a question: how much are you thinking of converting? (if any, that is).miladdo0 -
I phoned up Tesco who told me todays rate for US$ T/C was 1.9146 and there was no commission. The lady also said this would be the same rate as in store.January Grocery 11/3740

Do you ever wish you had'nt started a post.
Right this relates to the post office in pitsea tescos, on several occasions when going to buy dollars (US) I have noticed that the travelex booth has a better rate than their own online price, however unlike the online option, the booth charges a handling fee. However the post office inside pitsea tescos matches the price of the booth but the post office do not charge a fee. In conclusion using last saturday as an example:
Travelex online $1.93 = £1 no fee
Travelex booth in tescos $1.95.5 + fee
Post Office beside booth in Tescos = $1.95.5 no fee.
If people still dont get this maybe you would like me to pop down to tescos and make a video for you tube etc.

I did understand what you said but was phoning up to see what todays rate was online. It would appear that the llady at Tesco's (when I found) had informed me wrong. Surely that isn't my fault
THank you for you help anyway.January Grocery 11/3740 -

I didn't think that booth added a fee???
Just be careful on the post office there - we got some Euros a week or so ago, and they had a rate advertised on a big easel board, yet the rate on the official board was lower. So be careful, you may get ripped off by them.
I went to the Tesco booth and got a better rate with no fee.
This may have been a one off or a mistake - but I was not happy about being enticed with one rate, only to be almost sold Euro's at a poorer rate - only me checking stopped this.0
