Thanks for the update emphatiC_hanK. Your post has pretty much made my mind up for me. I think another provider will be getting my hard earned dough rather than wasting my time with a lengthy internal transfer. Still interested to hear how the saga ends though, so keep us in the loop. Cheers.

OK - I'll probably let you know, some time in April . . .

Their incompetence continues to amaze me....

I emailed them for an update and I received an email reply - although it was blank, with no answer contained within it!

And so I phoned them and they told me that the transfer (of an existing B&B cash ISA account, remember!) is 'still in progress' even though it has now well beyond the 30 days.

They reassured me that interest will be backdated to when they received the application, but for an internal transfer to take over 30 days, even at this time of year, is frankly ridiculous.

    More news as and when.....

I'm also still waiting for an internal transfer from eISA-2 to eISA-3 to happen. It is ridiculous it takes so long. They've had my transfer forms now for 28 days come tomorrow. I want to transfer the eISA-3 to the Lloyds TSB ISA but can't till it's actually been opened by B&B!

my experience of transferring esa1 to eisa3 - they are absolutely useless - couldn't run a raffle - as soon as transfer has gone thro (44 days and counting) i'll be moving all my funds elsewhere

Hi guys I am 3 weeks and waiting for an Eisa1 to Eisa3 transfer. I phoned up and they said they had received my form. On the form where it said amount to transfer i specified "ALL". Do you guys think it is safe to add my new ISA contribution for 2008/2009 into my EISA1 account and expect it to get transfered with the rest to EISA3 ?

I'm in the same boat as you - wanting to add this year's contribution during the transfer but not having done so yet. I reckon it's probably best to wait now, it shouldn't do but I think it would probably mess things up - I guess the further you're into the transfer period the more 'unsafe' it is to do. You could phone them again to ask but you may not get a definite answer. Sorry I can't say one way or the other. :D

Thanks. I am aware that they have a special deal 6.25% for a 1year ISA bond for this year but i think it is not worth bothering about - it just makes life more complicated.
