I love this place and have gone there for years. :beer:

Thursday night (Medic night) is the best!

Any one else familiar with the Philly and shares my appreciation?

I use to go there quite a bit when I lived in Cardiff.... too many fuzzy memories after double vodka and red bulls.

Went there over Christmas, experience is a bit blurred too, although I do remember the toilets weren't exactly Wetherspoon standard. It's been there forever, everyone raves about it.

Used to go there in the early to mid eighties, before there were queues and bouncers and when they only charged to go into Lloyds, the club downstairs. Upstairs good for meeting people but the doubles bar was my favourite bit.

The Philly is free to get into now and has been for ages, both upstairs and down.

It's a wicked night, especially Thursdays

Not my kind of place, went there the once, too busy too loud and too sweaty smelling, also while I was there for all of 15 mins there was loads of fights going on downstairs by the doors... Square is more my place or Clwb Ifor :j

Went in for there for lunch once. Place smelt so badly of vomit and the floor was so sticky we left before we even sat down...

Had a few good nights out there tho!

It's definatley got an addictive quality - me and my mates can't get enough of the place :j

They're in the middle of cleaning it up too - it's getting there!

There was a stabbing outside Ritzys on Queen Street (can't remember what, if anything, it's called at the moment) but I haven't heard about a murder at the Philly
