Spoke to staff in Didcot store and app staying open. They said they have a large storeroom so are receiving stock from branches that have closed already. Still loads of cards paper ribbons etc-seems to be diff stock each day. Am getting a bit addicted -yesterday got loads of kids Christmas books, cds and activity sets for 10p each!!! Have got 2 ds and 5 nieces/nephews all under 5 - and if they dont need them will give them to ds1 school. Just need somewhere to store it all now.:j0

Went into Ipswich Works yesterday, no sign of it closing down or such bargain offers. Had hoped to pick up some bargains after seeing this thread - still came out with some crafty stuff and couple of books for DD though!
I popped in today and there is a lot of stuff for 5p or 10p eg large envelopes 5 in a pack/stickers/tags for presents/titanic diaries/manchester united diaries with gel pens, star trek books lots more. It is right by the door.0 -
Went into The Works at Lomond Outlets, Balloch (by the bonny banks of Loch Lomond) they had some stuff reduced but no great deals on cards. Heard the staff talking about more deliveries next week and more stock to be reduced to 5p. Spoke to someone who said The Works at Braehead has already closed.

The same thing happened in my shop, we received stock from shops that had closed down because of the size of our shop and stockroon, guess what, we still closed.
Don't hold out much hope for the company at all and the fact that they are doing exactly the same stuff that we did, fill a bag for a £1 does not fill me with confidence for the future of the company0 -

Apart from that, from the very quick look I had, not many other bargains but going back for a good long look tomorrow in case Ive missed anything!
I went today and they had a table out the front with CDs - mainly classical - all at 10p each. They still have the fill a bag with cards for £1, but you are right about the limited selection - mainly cards for specific family members, so you'll do alright if you have loads of kids and/or are a polygamist...0 -
